The National Business Center (NBC) collects and processes personal data in support of Law no. 9723, dated May 03, 2007, “On Business Registration”, as amended (hereinafter referred to as the Law “On Business Registration”), Law No. 10081, dated February 23, 2009 “On Licenses, Authorizations and Permits in the Republic of Albania”.

This privacy document shows how the NBC retains personal data collected in relation to:


- Individuals to whom the registered data belong, they are equipped with a license and are licensed (which are notified or deposited in registers), or other persons who, according to the laws, have the right to request the conduct of the actions in the register.

- Complainants who submit administrative complaints to the NBC’s actions or inactions on registrations and publications.

- NBC officers.

- Visitors of the webpage


1. Data relating to individuals / applicants

In accordance with the Law “On Business Registration” and the Law “On Licenses, Authorizations and Permits in the Republic of Albania”, the data declared by the applicants for registrations and publications in the trade register are collected and stored in the electronic trade register and archived physical files. Based on this law,  data that are recorded and published in the register are freely accessible except for the data on which third parties have limited access.


NCB ensures each applicant that data arriving in the database is secured by means of a secure system and is used solely for the purpose of maintaining a commercial register under Law no. 9723, dated May 03, 2007, “On Business Registration”, as amended and Law No.10081, dated February 23,2009 “On Licenses, Authorizations and Permits in the Republic of Albania”. NCB is committed to implementing the applicable legal framework for personal data protection.

“Obtaining consent” and disclosing the data is made at the time of application at the NBC service counters.

NCB is legally obliged to make known and make available personal data, judicial prosecution bodies etc. (E.g., Court, Prosecutor’s Office, etc.) when requested by them in accordance with the legal provisions in force.

1. Complainants to the NBC’s actions or inactions

When an administrative complaint or a request/complaint is submitted by any interested party, it shall be filed in a separate register by the archive employee. The personal data collected is used only for the process of reviewing the complaint or the claim/complaint. This data is kept in a secure environment with limited access.

For each NBC staff, we prepare the respective file. The data contained in it is kept safe and used only for purposes directly related to the employment of the person. When the employment relationship with the NBC ends, the NBC keeps the file in accordance with the law on civil servant status, the law on archives and the internal regulation of the institution.

The National Business Center has its official web site Through this site, the NBC assists commercial entities and not only, it introduces the legal framework that applies to the commercial registration process and the permits/authorization/authorization registry, as well as providing other useful information.

For visitors to, the system collects standard information for statistical purposes (e.g.: to see which is the number of visitors, always without making them identifiable).

NBC uses contemporary technology to protect the security and confidentiality of entities/applicants data, and to stop access to the electronic system by unauthorized persons. The infrastructure on which the NBC system is built is part of the GovNet government network. Our security procedures are constantly being upgraded with new technologies. The space where servers and other devices are stored, are monitored with cameras and can only be accessed by the Directorate of Innovation and Registry Directorate staff.
